When you think of cosmetic dentistry, you probably think of prosthetics like dental implants or other tooth replacements. These treatments can take months to perform correctly and even though they produce fantastic results, there are other options.

A single trip to your dentist can make a world of difference for your smile with minimally invasive techniques. Read on to find out which treatments will make a significant impact on your teeth in the shortest timeframe.

1. Teeth Whitening

The absolute easiest and fastest way to revitalize your smile with the shortest time commitment. Your dentist can offer an in-office teeth whitening treatment that only takes one hour to complete.

The hydrogen peroxide-based whitening solution penetrates the pores in your teeth, gently bubbling away stains. After just one visit, your teeth could be up to eight shades whiter!

2. Cosmetic Dental Bonding

If your teeth have small gaps or chips that make them look slightly off, cosmetic dental bonding is a great solution. This treatment be completed in just one trip to the dentist.

Your dentist will use a special resin to reshape your tooth, filling in problem areas before using a special light to cure it. This creates a strong bond that holds the resin to your tooth and makes it look natural.

3. Dental Crowns

This treatment is a bit more involved and may require two visits. If you have a severely damaged tooth, a dental crown can completely restore its look and function.

Your dentist first uses special instruments to shave away some of the enamel of your tooth, creating a foundation for your new prosthetic to sit on. Then, an impression of your teeth is taken and sent to a dental lab.

After the porcelain prosthetic is created, it is shipped back to your dentist. A follow-up appointment is scheduled, and the crown is placed on your tooth.  This process may take up to two weeks to complete, but it’s a full tooth restoration that doesn’t involve surgery!

3. Dental Veneers

If you’re looking for a treatment that will cover many dental imperfections at the same time, dental veneers have you covered. These hard porcelain shells are adhered to the surface of your teeth for a full-scale smile transformation.

While dental veneers can ultimately take up to six weeks to prepare and install, you’ll be saving multiple trips to the dentist. After the treatment, you’ll have a brand-new smile and a renewed sense of confidence.

No matter which treatments you choose, your dentist will be your partner, whether it’s for an hour, a month, or a lifetime.
